Using Cubby Drafts

Cubby Drafts is your new writing superpower. It connects seamlessly with your Cubby content, making it easy to write, organize ideas, and create new content. With powerful AI features, you can quickly summarize, synthesize, and transform your research into polished drafts.

To begin using Cubby Drafts:

1. Reload Cubby
2. Click the new Drafts tab in the sidebar
3. Click on the purple New + button in the top left, and choose a cubby to start drafting in

Once you’ve created a new draft, you’ll see the following features:

1. Split-View: This feature allows you to read your sources and write simultaneously. To activate, open your source on the right side while keeping your writing on the left. You can also activate split view from within the reader by clicking the hand icon in the top left, and either selecting an existing draft or creating a new one to open on the right side.
2. AI Commands: Access these by using the slash (/) command.
   1. Ask a question: Get instant answers drawn from your curated sources
   2. Synthesize content: Extract and combine key ideas from all your content, with one-click citations
   3. Write with AI: Transform your content into various formats like blog posts, essays, or any custom output
   4. Find quotes: Search your entire content library for relevant quotes on any topic
   5. Gather interview questions: Compile a list of interview Q&As from across your saved content
   6. Summarize content: Create summaries of your sources in two ways:: Per-post summaries: Get a list of individual summaries for each post: Synthesized summary: Generate one cohesive summary across all selected content
   7. Import highlights & notes: Integrate your highlights and notes in two formats:: Raw import: Get a chronological list of highlights and notes, organized by post: Synthesized overview: Generate a structured outline of key takeaways from all your highlights and notes

To use the AI features:

1. Type ”/” to bring up the AI command window
2. Choose the desired feature (e.g., Synthesize Content, Find Quotes, etc.)
3. Enter your specific request or prompt
4. Cubby will process your request across your selected content
5. Review the output and click “Accept” to insert it into your draft

Remember, all AI-generated content comes with citations, allowing you to easily refer back to your original sources. Cubby Drafts works flawlessly regardless of the amount of content in your Cubby, making it a powerful tool for all your writing and research needs.
