Adding links & files

How to make posts

Adding content to Cubby from the internet or your files is easy and can be done several ways:

  1. Clicking “New Post”: Located in the top left corner of Cubby, the “New Post” button opens a window where you can add links, upload files, and choose the Cubby(s) to save to. You can also include notes and tags before clicking “save” to submit the posts.

  2. CMD+V - Pasting in a link: Utilize the “CMD+V” shortcut to quickly add a link to Cubby. Copy the link to your clipboard, navigate to Cubby, and press “CMD+V” anywhere within the interface to trigger the post addition flow automatically.

  3. Drag & Drop Files: Upload files from your computer by selecting them and dragging them onto the Cubby interface. Cubby will then prompt you to save and organize the files.

  4. Chrome Extension: Simplify adding articles from your browser with our Chrome Extension. Highlight text on any webpage to create a highlight, and Cubby will add the post along with the corresponding highlight/note. Alternatively, click the Cubby Chrome extension icon while on any webpage to select the Cubby you want to save to.

  5. iOS App: Add content while on the go using our iOS app. Tap the plus button in the bottom center of the app, then paste from clipboard, upload a file, or share the link via the iOS share menu, similar to sharing a text message.
