Team / Cubby members and privacy
In Cubby, you get to decide who from your team sees what. Our infrastructure is designed so data stays within your team – and always in your control. Posts belong to cubbies, and cubbies belong to teams, so only members of a team have access to the posts in that team’s cubbies.
Inviting team members
You can add team members by right clicking your team → invite people. From there you can either send direct invites via an email, or create a link. If you want to get rid of this link, you can delete it or randomize it at any time to make sure old links don’t work.
Joining Cubbies
Once you’re in a team, you can right click the team → go to cubbies to browse the team’s cubbies. From here you can leave or join your team’s public cubbies freely.
Private Cubbies
When creating a Cubby, you can opt to “Hide from team”. It’ll still live within your team, but it won’t show up on your team’s cubbies list. This is good for when not everyone on your team should be able to see a project.
If you’ve created a private cubby, only you can add team members by right clicking a cubby → members → add members in the top right.
Removing a team member
To remove a team member, right click your team’s name then click “members”. Click the three dots next to any member’s name, and click “Remove from team”. They’ll immediately be kicked and lose access to all content within your team. If they’ve copied anything into their own personal cubbies, they will stay there, but they will no longer be part of any cubbies in your team.
